 | Another good Larryboy book Sep 27, 2004 |
This is the third book in the Larryboy series. It is, like all the others, a fun, cute story that teaches a good message without being preachy.
This story centers around "when you stop learning, you stop growing." For instance, Larryboy has been falling asleep in class lately, claiming that as an "accomplised superhero," he doesn't need anymore schooling.
At the same time, the elementary school kids are convinced that they don't need to go to school anymore.
Enter.... the villian, Iceberg! He sends his snow pea helpers- the aggresive Frostbite, the dangerous-looking Avalanche, and the dim (but adorable) Snowflake- to convince the kids that they can skip school without getting into trouble.
I found only a couple problems with this book.
1. Iceberg isn't as fully fleshed-out as some of the other villians (Awful Alvin, for instance), however the hilarous snow peas more than make up for that.
2. The last couple of chapters can be kind of hard to follow.
However, this is another sweet, funny Larryboy book that deserves to be read.
