I purchased this for my 24 year old daughter who still loves Veggie Tales songs. Christmas Day the whole family was singing along with the songs from the 70s. It seems that you are never too old for Veggie Tales.

OK - it IS the Veggie Tales so it's annoying if you have no tolerance of them. But IF you have succumbed to them for your kids' sake, this is a great CD of the music that we listened to in the 70s. Obviously it's the more wholesome songs of that era but it gets our whole family dancing. I love the fact that it introduces REAL music instead of "where is my hairbrush".... if I sing it at my desk at work, no one questions my sanity.
Great CD for our crew - 8, 6 and 2 1/2 year old girls. Of the 3 CDs my daughter received for her birthday, this is the one played first and often over and over.

Veggies....70's music....
What's there not to love? The only reason that I give 4 stars instead of 5 is that some of the versions are hard to understand if you don't know the origional. This is a small problem for my 3 year old. However, with Daddy singing them with her and Mommy rolling her eyes in the corner, she gets the idea!

My husband and I have been veggie tales fans for years. Now that we have a newborn we have an excuse to flush out our collection. This is our newest CD and all three of us LOVE it! We highly recomend it to any veggie tales fan for "Saturday morning fun"! We're listening to the CD as I am writing this, and my husband is dancing around the room with our little guy! Enjoy!

#2 Locomotion sung by Junior and a medley of kids and veggies. While I must admit the original never thrilled me, Junior is my favorite veggie...so it's tolerable if not enjoyable at times. Archibald particularly gets into this song... 4 out of 5.
#3 Lean On Me. Sung by Bob & Larry...along with other Veggies and kids on different verses. I liked Mr. Nezzer singing the deep parts. it's a nice song...4 out of 5.
#4 Car Wash -- Larry can't wait to talk about his 'new job' at the car wash. 4.5 out of 5
#5 Proud Mary -- my least favorite on the album...sung by Mr. Lunt & Mr. Nezzer...among others. 3 out of 5
#6 Jesus is Just Alright...a nice fun song...4.5/5 I really enjoy the 'slow' and soulful part where Junior's singing ability is given a chance to shine :)
#7 You Are the Sunshine of My Life...5/5...I love the part with the French peas in this song...although a medley does contribute throughout the song...including some significant portions by Junior.
#8 Crocodile Rock ....5/5...by far one of my favorites on the album. Sung primarily by Archibald Asparagus and Junior...Junior ends up stealing the show.
#9 The Lion Sleeps Tonight.... 5/5 This song is without a doubt my absolute favorite from the album. It is just too much fun.
