 | A Field Guide to Wildflowers: Northeastern and North Central North America Jun 1, 2010 |
| This book has been extremely helfpful for me to learn the names of local wildflowers. It is very descriptive and categorized by flower color, and can easily be carried while hiking. | | | | Easy to use Feb 6, 2010 |
This field guide is perfect size to take with you when exploring, searching for and identifying wildflowers | | | | WILDFLOWER BOOK POOR BINDING Feb 1, 2010 |
I HAVE AN OLD VERSION OF THIS BOOK THAT IS PROPERLY BOUND IE THREAD, WHICH ALLOWS
ONE TO USE AS FIELD BOOK AND IT WILL HOLD UP
THIS NEW VERSION IS GLUE BOUND, AND FALLS APART WHEN USED AS A FIELD GUIDE IS.
DISAPPOINTED
GOOD CONTENT. BUT LOUSY CONSTRUCTION | | | | the first one I grab in the field Nov 17, 2009 |
| Of all my guides, I've consistently used this one for 30 years. It may not get you to the exact species, but it will get you to genus. (I then use a key in other books to get to species). Being color coded it is easy to use. The drawings and field marks are good. It also helps you learn the families. I give this book to all of my friends who ask for a "good wildflower book" to take in the woods. | | | | Best wildflower book Oct 2, 2009 |
