| A VERY important book! It puts our current times into context. A great guide, along with Revelations. I purchased an NIV Life Application Study Bible from a local Christian store, and have found the study very helpful. I recommend one to you, if you don't have this. "Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near" (1:3)...Well, whoever rated this book from this site a 1 star must, at least at the time, have been a lost soul. One disclaimer, I haven't read this entire book yet. I preferred to start with the introduction and the chapters that I've found most pressing. | What a fantastic guide! All of my favorite authors teaming up to write one book on how to overcome the most important issues we will face this century! Dr. Stan Monteith, Dr. Thomas Horn, Bill Salus, Mike Bennet, Terry James, Chris Pinto, Allie and Carl Anderson, and the list goes on and on! This book covers everything from pandemics and Global governance, food and fuel shortages to the Antichrist. I love having this book in my home as a guide to being prepared during times of great chaos and otherwise. | This book pairs well with Apollyon Rising 2012 by Tom Horn. It absolutely DOES discuss a lot of sudden survival issues (nuclear bombs, weather conditions, having to live off the grid, etc.) and how to prepare for them, overcome them, and so on. However, it also speaks DIRECTLY about some of the most frightening issues in our country, of which are the upcoming and unavoidable new world order, more inadequate politicians, and a few very scary end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it-issues that are creeping up behind us as most of the country are asleep at the wheel. Without doubt one of the best books available for facing the future with confidence and overcoming the frightening issues humanity faces -- the threat of nuclear war, biohazards, genetic engineering, etc. The chapter by Shane Conner, Radiological Laboratory CEO (who is imminently qualified as the US Government's go-to guy for Potassium Iodide etc) on How To Survive Nuclear War is worth it's weight in gold.
But I also found every chapter to holding phenomenal importance including chapters titled: Pandemics and Emerging Diseases, Totalitarianism and World War III, Nanotech, Biotech, Genetic Mutation, and Transhumanism, Food and Fuel Shortages, Collapse of Financial Institutions, Going Off the Grid and Living Self Sufficiently etc.
Some of the authors do put their contribution in prophetic context, which is good because polls around the world show 98% of the earths population believe in God and nearly 70% believe we are living in prophetic times, so the timing of this new book and its approach is absolutely right on target for the majority of people who are asking questions about the future and survival.
Also, the authors read like a who's who of well-known experts in each field including Shane Conner, Dr. Thomas Horn, Dr. Stanley Monteith, award-winning filmmaker Chris Pinto, Dr. Michael Heiser, Dr. Gianni DeVincenti Hayes, former Chief Investment Officer Wilfred Hahn and more!
