 | Not for AVID readers... Jan 10, 2007 |
| My son is almost 7 years old and I bought this Bible thinking it would be "age appropriate." The sad part is that it does NOT have book name titles above the pages nor does it have verses. It's more like a Bible for new readers. I read other reviews and thought this would work out but I was wrong. I guess I'll save it for my 3 year old. Be advised. | | | | great under 10 book. | my 6 year old absolutly Loves this book, we read a chapter every night and do the questions He can comprehend every story and reads most of them by himself. I would recommend this to anyone with a child under 10, older kids might be kinda bored with it. It is a great complement to sunday school. | | | | The perfect read together Bible Jan 3, 2007 |
| I use this book with my three year old and he loves it! It will be the perfect Bible for him to begin reading on his own when the time is right. There are activities and questions after each story that allow a parent to re-enforce each story lesson. With a little imagination, a person can make these lessons age appropriate for a younger child. This is a Bible that your child will enjoy for many years. | | | | Fantastic Jan 3, 2007 |
| This is the best bible I've ever seen for a child. It was perfect for a gift! | | | | Awesome K-1st Grade Bible!! Dec 19, 2006 |
This has been a favorite book in our household. Each story is about three pages long, with helpful illustrations and thoughtful questions at the end. The reading has sparked many conversations in our home. My first child, after making his way thorough beginning phonics, tackled this book (on his own) between kindergarten and first grade. Within a few weeks, he had read the book cover to cover! He was so motivated -- we didn't even know that he was doing it for the first couple of weeks. We wrote his name and the date he finished on the first page. Now his younger brother has been reading it and asked me if he could have his own copy to read and write his name. This is one book that I don't mind buying multiple copies.
